The Department of Community Vitality has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Customer Service Supervisor. In Community Vitality, we aim to provide quality access, parking, enforcement, maintenance and services to the Downtown, University Hill and Boulder Junction communities through the highest level of customer service, efficient management and effective problem solving.
We are looking for a Customer Service Supervisor to join the Community Vitality team in the Access and Parking division to supervise the staff and operations of our downtown district parking.
The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience, including creating and maintaining staffing schedules, experience with cash handling, internal audit and controls, public sector experience and familiarity with software programs. They will be action oriented, build effective teams, be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, drive for results, have organizational agility, and be skilled in conflict management and customer service.

Under general direction, supervise, hire, train and schedule all part-time and temporary lot attendants in the Community Vitality/Access & Parking Services (CV/APS) Department and collect, audit and deposit receipts for all revenue collected for parking services, as well as provide garage system utilization reports. Assists Access and Parking Manager to perform related duties and works to support a positive work culture in close coordination with the Financial Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, and Enforcement Supervisor as required. Supervises, trains and schedules two part-time lead lot attendants.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hires, trains, schedules and supervises all parking lot attendants and leads as described in the supervisory paragraph below, and models excellent interaction with the public and city staff to ensure the best possible customer service and facilitates the most direct and efficient provision of services for customers.
Oversees the Community Vitality/Access and Parking Services Garage Revenue, Collection, Reporting and Safe Room.
T2 Flex parking management software reporting.
Provides support and back up to Access and Parking Manager, inclusive of special projects; and works in close coordination with departmental staff.
Delivers excellent customer service to the community, visitors and stakeholders.
Performs related duties as required to meet the needs of the department and the City.
Takes proper safety precautions, anticipates unsafe circumstances, and acts accordingly to prevent accidents. Responsible for the safety of self, others, materials, and equipment. Uses all required safety equipment and follows all safety regulations, policies and procedures. Reports all accidents and damage to City property.
Responsible for knowing and complying with all City and department policies; participating in professional trainings and development; and adhering to attendance and workplace attire policies.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five years of administrative, team lead or lead worker experience and financial/accounting experience, or any equivalent combination of education/experience. Ability and willingness to work hours outside of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to supervise and perform lot attendant duties as needed. Have and maintain acceptable background information including criminal conviction record.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS – In addition to the required minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field. Supervisory experience, including creating and maintaining staffing schedules. Experience with cash handling, and internal audit and controls. Public Sector experience including familiarity with the parking software programs.
