The Parking and Transportation section performs a diverse array of landside functions for this highly complex organization. Broadly, you're responsible for maintaining the daily operation of the Public Parking facilities at DEN which generates more than $161 million dollars in annual revenue for the City and County of Denver. Denver International Airport is the largest airport parking operation in the United States with over 41,000 public parking spaces and an average of 12,000 exit transactions per day. The parking operation includes garage, valet, close in surface lots and shuttle facilities.
The position includes administering and building relationships with many contracted services at DEN, to include the following service areas: Public Parking, Revenue Control System Maintenance, and the Towing/Emergency Car Services. In addition you will have the opportunity to do the following:
Assists the Director of Parking and Transportation in determining the strategic initiatives, goals and objectives for Parking operations. Plans, develops and implements short and long term business plans and projects, goals and objectives that generate new revenue opportunities and to strengthen the relationships. Develops and implements strategies for optimizing performance with the goal of meeting or exceeding the established KPI performance benchmarks.
Administer the budget, develop business cases for capital spending, track financial performance, generate monthly reporting and forecasting, perform data analytics, work with P&L Statements, revenue projections, trend analysis, yield management and perform other analysis as necessary.
Analyze and direct the implementation of new concepts to enhance and strengthen the passenger experience with a commitment to quality, innovation and high customer satisfaction. Reviews emerging concepts to develop and implement fresh market ideas. Analyzes local, national and international trends and companies to identify new business opportunities and presents financial case for their implementation.
Manages a team of 16 employees
Ensures a business-friendly operating environment with clear policies, procedures, and expectations. Fosters an atmosphere of innovation in order to challenge the organization to think creatively, especially as it relates to positive passenger experience opportunities.
Researches relevant markets and financial trends to forecast future activity and develops recommendations.
Oversees the reporting requirement and general contract provision compliance.
Coaches, mentors, and challenges staff. Champions continuous improvement, including devising new strategies and new opportunities. Leads staff development initiatives that include training, development and succession planning. Establishes performance expectations and standards for all levels of employees to achieve or exceed performance metrics and prepare them for the future.
Represents the organization's positions, initiatives and interests with a focus on the delivery of superior customer service; ensures staff is sufficiently knowledgeable and dynamic regarding customer service protocols.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Bachelor's Degree Finance, Economic, Business, or related field
5 years experience supervising and leading others
One (1) year of business case development/validation experience.
Advanced experience with Microsoft analytical tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
Familiarity with retail, hospitality or parking business models.
Experience with performance and zero based budgeting, as well as, performing forecasting and other related analysis.
Experience using Workday
Experience performing analysis of a strategic, financial, or operational nature and formulating approaches to address identity issues.

Bachelor's Degree in a related field based on a specific position and three years of supervisory experience.
Two (2) years of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education. (For example, if a Baccalaureate Degree is required, eight years of relevant experience can be substituted.).
A relevant Master's Degree may substitute for up to one year of the experience requirement.
Possession of a valid Colorado Class "R" Driver's license at the time of application or within six months of probation.
Completion of new manager training program prior to the end of probation.
