Position Summary: Parking-Traffic Control. Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President of Auxiliary Services, the Director oversees the leadership and operations of Parking and Transportation across Georgia Southern's three campuses (Armstrong, Liberty and Statesboro) in order to enhance the efficiency of processes, programs, and projects. The Director ensures appropriate resources are assigned to enforce regulations in a permit less environment utilizing License Plate Recognition (LPR) enforcement.
Ensures business practices and operations align with university, local, state and federal regulations.
Utilizes forecasting models to establish permit capacities and to develop departmental budget.
Collaborates with local officials to ensure traffic flows are at peak levels during regular operations and special events.
Oversees the transit contract and analyze route data.
Collaborates with campus partners to monitor construction projects.
Ensures compliance with MUTCD and industry standards.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.
Preferred Education: Certified Administrator of Public Parking
Preferred Experience:: Five or more years of experience working in the parking industry, preferably on a University campus; knowledge of local, state and federal regulations impacting operations of the unit
