Under the supervision of the Director of Transportation Services, the Project Policy Analyst will provide consultation, project management, and data analysis to Transportation Services management on a wide variety of projects of moderate scope and complexity for departmental growth and development. The incumbent will apply professional and analytical skills to aid in the development, execution, and evaluation of department procedures and policies to improve service delivery and the customer experience. The ideal candidate loves systems, processes, and data; excels in a fast-paced environment; possesses a natural curiosity to learn new technologies, ideas, and tools; and takes initiative to explore and update processes and documentation.
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
Experience with project management concepts and tools.
Experience with data analysis and reporting.
Experience in organizational development, process maps, and/or continuous improvement models.
Experience in transportation and parking industry.
Experience in a Higher Education environment.
Employment and/or continued employment is contingent on a satisfactory Agency background check.
Travel for attending training, conferences, and visits to other campuses for research, bench-marking, and process improvement initiatives.
Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Working knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques. Proficient in ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality. Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns. Demonstrates ability to analyze, research and synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail. Proficient in ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Demonstrates strong planning, organizational, and time management skills with attention to detail and follow-through. Proficiency in writing and interpreting policies and/or procedures. Advanced proficiency in business applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and spreadsheet and database software to generate reports.
Working knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.
Proficient in reading, editing, and creating technical documents.
Knowledge of process improvement, cost/benefit analysis, balanced scorecard, and change management methodologies.
Knowledge of relational databases, BI applications, and tools.
Knowledge in writing queries and extracting data using Microsoft SQL.
