JOB OVERVIEW The Parking Operations Site Manager is responsible for leading and providing full service management and supervision responsibilities for the department’s Full-Service Parking Operation at all of the Mission Bay Hospital campus South Zone locations for one evening parking Supervisor and for front line staff within the Parking Representative classification series. This position has full time management, leadership, and supervisory responsibilities for direct and indirect supervisory responsibilities for up to 20 front line staff whose classifications includes but not limited to: parking assistants, parking representatives, senior parking representatives, and lead parking representatives.
Responsibilities includes but not limited to: all Ammano McGann equipment including computer work stations, Cale Pay Stations, L-icense Plate recognition camera systems, Parking Guidance systems, electric vehicle charging stations, and parking servers. Provides training, evaluation, and work directive actions to all staff under his/her purview to ensure the Mission Bay South Zone Parking Operations is operating effectively and efficiently every day during all operating hours.
Coordinates trainings and instructions to staff on the physical use of all parking equipment, point of sale fee collections systems, and basic troubleshooting on parking ticket dispensers, pay on foot pay-stations, arm gates, and fee computer. Assign staff resources to meet scheduling logistics to ensure all necessary parking operation shifts are covered on a daily basis. Work professionally with other managers and supervisors within the department to fill vacant shifts with staff resources from another unit or campus as needed.
Manage all staff work performance to ensure department operations and expectations are met on a consistent basis by using the guidelines, expectations, and policies outlined in the Department Personnel and Unit Operation manuals. Address staff performance issues, conflicts, and problems by adhering and following the department and University due process for progressive discipline. Work with HR Labor Relations as needed to resolve personnel issues. Complete all administrative duties and responsibilities required within managing the Mission Bay South Zone Parking Operations on a daily basis and/or as assigned by Senior Parking Operations Manager. Possess the ability and skills to provide exceptional excellent customer service to both internal and external customers from a high level supervisor level standard.
This position will successfully assist the Senior Parking Operations Manager with major projects implementations, upgrades, and new capital projects to continue to improve the parking operations and to keep up with the latest parking operations technology available on the market. Successfully carry out project work load logistics and coordinations as directed by the Senior Parking Operations Manager.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience • Valid CA driver license in good standing • Certificate of Completion of Supervisory Competency or equivalent training and experience, in accordance with CLS supervisor training guidelines within one year of employment with UCSF • Three to four years of supervisory experience • Knowledge and proficiency using garage control systems, such as McGann Revenue Management, Amano fee and McGann Access Systems • Knowledge and ability to instruct cashiers on cash handing skills, customer service excellence, UCSF political acumen • Strong computer skills using various applications including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and File Maker • Strong team building skills and the ability to effectively supervise a diverse, blue collar workforce in a union-based environment are essential Both strong written and oral communications skills Work a flexible schedule as needed Proven ability to work effectively in a highly complex and politically sensitive organization Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Supervisory or management experience in the parking industry strongly desired Demonstrated working knowledge of HTML, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop or similar applications
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION Valid CA driver license in good standing Certificate of Completion of Supervisory Competency or equivalent training and experience, in accordance with CLS supervisor training guidelines within one year of employment with UCSF
