The Assistant Manager of Parking & Commuter Services coordinates and implements operational, technological and administrative components of the University’s parking and transportation demand management programs. This position collaborates with other University Safety & Security Services divisions to develop a cohesive, results-oriented customer service program. The Assistant Manager assists in the planning on special events, U-Pass distribution and other department initiatives.
Supervises three (3) fulltime Customer Relations Representatives, two (2) part-time Customer Service Representatives
This position is considered essential personnel according to university guidelines. Therefore, the incumbent may be required to report to work in the event of an emergency
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in education, training and experience
1-3 years of relevant experience
At least two years’ experience in parking, transportation or commuter services
Experience parking management, wordprocessing spreadsheet and database software
Experience with purchasing, budget procedures and cash handling
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience as a manager or supervisor in parking and transportation services
Certification as a Certified Administrator of Public Parking (CAPP) issued by the International Parking Institute or a Certified Parking Professional (CPP) issued by the National parking Association
Experience or knowledge of parking management and license plate recognition systems, such as Complus, T2 Systems, PaybyPhone, Genetec and multi-space pay stations
Experience working in a university or campus environment
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain university driving privileges
